The Beauty Angel
RVT-30

You step into the booth and stand while 30 collagen lamps emit light at approximately 660nm — the wavelength shown in multiple clinical studies to penetrate the skin at the depth where collagen-producing cells live. The light is not UV. It does not tan. It does not burn. It delivers photons to your cells through a process called photobiomodulation — and your cells do the rest.

1
Photons enter the skin
660nm red light passes through the skin's surface into the dermal layer — the depth where fibroblast cells, responsible for producing collagen and elastin, are found.
2
Cells absorb the energy
Mitochondria — the energy centres of your cells — absorb the light and increase ATP production. ATP is the fuel that powers every cellular process, including repair and renewal.
3
Collagen production increases
Energised fibroblast cells step up production of collagen and elastin — the proteins responsible for skin firmness, elasticity, and that quality often described as a glow.
4
Vibration plate supports circulation
The RVT-30's integrated vibration plate gently activates the lymphatic system during your session, supporting circulation throughout the body while the light works on the skin above.

What clients commonly experience

Results people talk about

Based on published research and widely reported client experiences. Individual results vary — consistency is the most important factor.

Smoother, more even skin tone
Often noticed after a series of consistent sessions. Many clients describe a visible difference in skin texture and evenness that builds gradually over 4–8 weeks of regular use.
Reduced appearance of fine lines
Particularly around the eyes and forehead — where collagen depletion tends to show first. Clinical trials have measured this reduction using ultrasound and profilometry technology.
Improved skin firmness over time
Consistent sessions are associated with measurable increases in intradermal collagen density. Multiple randomised controlled trials have documented this effect objectively.
Reduced skin redness and inflammation
Red light has well-documented anti-inflammatory properties at the dermal level. Many clients with redness-prone or reactive skin find their complexion becomes more balanced with regular sessions.
A noticeable post-session glow
Attributed to increased circulation in the skin's surface layers. This is one of the most commonly reported immediate effects — skin that looks brighter and more alive after a single session.
Fewer blemishes over time
Red light's anti-inflammatory effects extend to acne-prone skin. A peer-reviewed meta-analysis found a 52% reduction in acne lesions after consistent twice-weekly red light treatment over 8 weeks.
The science

What the research actually shows

Selected peer-reviewed findings from clinical trials and systematic reviews published in leading medical journals.

"Treated subjects experienced significantly improved skin complexion, reduced roughness, and measurable increases in intradermal collagen density compared to untreated controls."

Everything you want
to know first

Most people begin to notice something after 4–6 consistent sessions. The clinical protocols that showed the strongest results used twice-weekly sessions over 4–12 weeks — consistency is the most important factor. Red light works cumulatively, not immediately. Our 5 and 10 session packs are designed with exactly this in mind.
Red light therapy does not use UV light and cannot cause sunburn, tanning, or UV-related skin damage. Multiple systematic reviews have reported no adverse side effects across all trials studied. It is considered safe for all skin types and tones. We recommend a maximum of 3 sessions per week in line with standard professional guidelines.
Yes. Red light has no interaction with UV exposure and many of our clients use both services at Chinook Glow. Some find that regular red light sessions support their skin condition between UV sessions. We recommend leaving a short gap between services — our staff can advise on sequencing based on your routine and goals.
As little as you're comfortable with. The more skin exposed to the lamps, the more of your body benefits from the session. A private change area with hooks and a bench is provided in the room. Protective eyewear is required and is available for purchase at the front desk. The room is private and the session is entirely your own space.
Come with clean, product-free skin where possible — heavy serums, oils, or makeup can act as a barrier between the light and your skin. Remove jewellery and tie back hair if it covers areas you'd like treated. That's genuinely it. There's no preparation required and no recovery time after.
Those who are pregnant, have a photosensitive medical condition, or are currently taking medications known to increase light sensitivity should consult their physician before use. Please inform our staff of any relevant health considerations before your first session — we're happy to answer questions and help you decide if this service is right for you.
The 10-session pack saves you $60 versus walk-in pricing and works out to $29 per session — a meaningful difference if you plan to use red light consistently. Both packs are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and are non-transferable. If you'd like to try first, a single walk-in session at $39 is always available before committing to a pack.
