Chinook Glow is a tanning and wellness studio located at 142 Broadway Street North, Raymond, Alberta. Nicole Mennear is responsible for privacy matters at Chinook Glow.

What we collect

Our website is an informational and inquiry tool only. No bookings, payments, or financial transactions are processed through this website. We may collect personal information you voluntarily provide, including:

  • your email address
  • your phone number
  • your membership selection or service inquiry details
  • any message or notes you submit through a contact form

We do not collect payment information or financial data through this website. All bookings are confirmed by email and all payments are arranged directly between you and Chinook Glow.

Health information

Some of our services — including UV tanning, red light therapy, infrared sauna, and Beauty Angel RVT — may involve health disclosures or contraindication screening. Any health-related information you provide is collected in person at our studio, used only to deliver safe and appropriate services, and is not shared with third parties except where required by law.

How we use your information

We use personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected, including to:

  • respond to your inquiries and follow up on membership or service requests
  • communicate details about our opening, founding membership spots, or promotions you have expressed interest in
  • manage deposits, gift package orders, and related correspondence
  • operate, improve, and protect our website and business

Our website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Information submitted through contact forms is transmitted to us by email and stored in our business email system. We limit access to personal information to what is necessary for business operations.

Our website may use standard web technologies including server logs, cookies, or infrastructure tools provided by third parties such as Cloudflare. These services may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, or general usage activity as part of delivering and securing our website. We do not run targeted advertising and we do not sell data to ad networks.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share information with service providers who help us operate the website or communicate with you (such as our email and web hosting providers), or where disclosure is required or permitted by law.

How long we keep it

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected. For example:

  • Inquiries from individuals who do not become clients are not retained beyond the resolution of the inquiry.
  • Information related to active or past memberships is retained for a minimum of seven years for accounting and legal recordkeeping purposes.

When personal information is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or destroyed.

Your rights under PIPA

As an Alberta resident, you have the right to:

  • request access to the personal information we hold about you
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • withdraw consent to collection or use of your personal information, subject to legal or contractual limitations
  • ask questions about how your information is being handled

Our website and services are intended for adults aged 18 and older, or minors with the direct involvement of a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18 without parental consent. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information without appropriate consent, please contact us so we can remove it.
