The Recovery Room pairs three clinically supported wellness tools in one unhurried private session. You recline on a heated PEMF infrared mat, slip into sequential compression boots, and — if you'd like — add the eye and head massager while an ambient soundscape fills the room through studio speakers.

There is nothing to do. No screens, no decisions, no rushing. Just 30 to 45 minutes designed entirely around what your body needs to slow down and recover.

HealthyLine TAJ
PEMF Infrared Mat

PEMF · Far Infrared · Photon Light · Negative Ions · Gemstones

You lie directly on the mat, which warms gently beneath you using natural amethyst, jade, and tourmaline gemstones. As the warmth builds, the mat pulses a low-frequency electromagnetic field — the same frequency range found in the earth's natural magnetic environment. It's quiet, subtle, and deeply restorative. Many clients don't feel much at first. That's normal. This is background-level therapy working while you rest.

Many users report feeling noticeably less physically tense after sessions — the kind of full-body release that's difficult to achieve simply by resting on a couch
The deep infrared warmth penetrates further than surface heat and may help ease stiffness that builds from prolonged sitting, standing, or physical activity
Low-frequency PEMF has been studied for its potential to support the body's natural cellular recovery processes — an area of growing peer-reviewed research
Negative ions — the same quality found in fresh outdoor air — are associated in research with improved mood and a sense of mental clarity
Many people find it easier to reach a genuinely drowsy, near-sleep state on the mat than through conventional rest alone — consistent with the parasympathetic response it's associated with
Consistent use over time is where most people notice the most meaningful difference — single sessions are restorative, but the cumulative effect is what clients talk about
Individual results vary. PEMF therapy is not medical treatment and is not intended to diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition. Not suitable for those with pacemakers or active implanted devices without physician approval.

Normatec Elite
Compression Boots

Sequential air compression · 5 overlapping zones · ZoneBoost · Designed by an MD, PhD

Once you're settled on the mat, you zip the Normatec Elite boots over your legs. They inflate from your feet upward in a slow, rhythmic wave — the same direction your venous system naturally moves fluid back toward the heart. It feels like a thorough, progressive leg massage that works from the inside out. Most people find it deeply satisfying, especially after a long day on their feet, after travel, or after physical training.

The sequential wave compression may help move fluid and metabolic waste out of the legs more efficiently than passive rest — many clients notice legs feel lighter and less heavy immediately after
Normatec is the original, most scientifically studied dynamic air compression system — the same technology used by professional sports teams and Olympic athletes worldwide
May be particularly helpful for those who sit or stand for extended periods, travel frequently, or experience general leg fatigue and swelling through the day
ZoneBoost technology allows targeted pressure on specific zones — the session adjusts to how your body feels that day rather than applying uniform pressure throughout
The rhythmic pressure often triggers a genuine relaxation response — many clients find it easier to fully let go once the boots are running, making it an excellent complement to the PEMF mat beneath them
Originally developed to treat circulatory disorders non-invasively — this clinical heritage gives it a credibility that newer compression products simply don't have
Compression therapy is not suitable for those with active blood clots, open wounds on the legs, or certain circulatory conditions. Please inform our staff of any relevant health considerations before your session.

Renpho Eyeris Zen
Eye & Head Massager

3D compression · dual heat settings · Bluetooth audio · blackout design

Entirely optional and completely personal. The Eyeris Zen fits gently over your eyes and temples, applying soft rhythmic compression with optional gentle warmth. The moment it's on, the rest of the world disappears. The blackout design, the heat, and the compression work together to create the conditions for a near-sleep state. It's a small addition that makes a surprisingly large difference to how completely you can switch off during a session.

Gentle rhythmic pressure on the temples and eye area targets one of the highest concentrations of nerve endings in the body — many clients find this the most calming part of the entire session
The warmth setting may help relieve the specific kind of eye strain and tension headache that comes from prolonged screen time — a near-universal experience in daily life
Complete light-blocking creates the physiological conditions for melatonin production — many clients report drifting very close to sleep, even in a 30-minute session
Connects via Bluetooth to your own playlist or pairs with the room's soundscape — the audio experience works together with the compression for a fully enveloping session
Sanitized thoroughly between every client — wiped down with appropriate disinfectant as part of our standard room turnover protocol
Remove contact lenses before use. Not recommended for those with recent eye surgery, glaucoma, or retinal conditions. Always inform our staff of any relevant health considerations before your session.

Questions

Everything you want
to know first

You arrive, our staff sets up the room to your preferences, and you settle onto the recliner over the heated PEMF mat. The compression boots go on over your legs and zip up. Your choice of soundscape starts through the studio speakers. If you'd like the Eyeris Zen eye massager, we set that up too. Then we leave you completely alone for 30–45 minutes. That's genuinely it. Many clients fall asleep.
The warmth is the most noticeable sensation — it builds gently and feels similar to lying in morning sunlight without UV exposure. The PEMF pulse itself is subtle and many people don't consciously feel it at all, especially in the first few sessions. What most people do notice is the quality of how they feel afterward — a heaviness and ease that's different from ordinary rest. The gemstones beneath you apply gentle acupressure as the mat warms.
The field intensity from a PEMF wellness mat is extremely low — well within Health Canada and WHO safety guidelines. To put it in perspective, the earth produces a natural magnetic field that our bodies have evolved alongside for millions of years. The mat mimics these low-intensity natural frequencies rather than producing anything artificial or high-intensity. Multiple clinical reviews have reported strong safety profiles. Those with pacemakers or active implanted devices should consult their physician before use.
A firm, rhythmic squeezing that moves from your feet upward — like a very thorough leg massage working from the inside. Each cycle takes about 20 seconds to travel from foot to thigh. You can adjust the pressure level — most clients start in the middle range and many prefer higher settings once they're used to the sensation. It pairs particularly well with the mat warmth and the quiet of the room. Most people find it deeply satisfying after a long day.
Anyone whose legs carry the weight of their day — people who stand or sit for long periods at work, those who train regularly and experience muscle soreness, frequent travellers, and anyone who deals with general leg heaviness or swelling by end of day. The effect on post-exercise recovery is well-documented in sports medicine. But you don't need to be an athlete to notice the difference — a long shift at work creates circulatory demands that compression therapy can meaningfully address.
Yes. The interior surface is wipeable and is disinfected with an appropriate medical-grade cleaner between every client as part of our standard room turnover. It is entirely optional — if you prefer not to use it, it simply stays on the shelf. You are also welcome to bring your own headphones and connect via Bluetooth for the audio portion if you'd prefer.
There's no single right answer — it depends on your body and your goals. Many clients visit once a week as part of a regular routine and report cumulative improvements in how they feel over time. Others use it after specific events — an intense training block, a long flight, a particularly demanding work week. The mat and boots are both safe for regular use. Our All Access membership includes unlimited recovery room sessions for clients who want to build it into their routine.
Absolutely — many clients pair it with UV tanning or red light therapy on the same visit. A common sequence is tanning first, then recovery room after. Some clients do red light therapy and then recovery room. There's no contraindication between any of our services. Our staff are happy to suggest a sequence based on your goals when you arrive.
